Why use an Affiliate?
In
addition to working directly with L-A-B for your accreditation needs,
there are many laboratory operations having need for ISO Registration as
well. It is not always a well-known rule, but those issuing Registration
may not do Accreditation work, and vice versa.
L-A-B has, in coordination with a number of
Registrars, developed a program, which allows the laboratory to undergo
one assessment visit for both the Registration from the Registrar and the
Accreditation from L-A-B.
Market demands either one or both of the
credentials and when both are needed, the Affiliate program is a cost
effective way to meet those market demands.
Imagine, only having to undergo one visit
rather than two! The time of the laboratory’s people is worth much.
Don’t overlook the internal costs of having to undergo two
audit/assessment visits rather than having the two combined.

to any one or more of the ISO 9000 based standards and the ISO/IEC 17025
