NACLA develops Conformity Assessment Calendar for United States

NACLA (National Cooperation for Laboratory Accreditation has developed a new Calendar for Conformity Assessment activities in the United States and abroad.   (link to calendar)

· The National Cooperation for Laboratory Accreditation (NACLA) is a not-for-profit corporation established in 1998.

 

· It was founded by representatives of public and private-sector organizations to provide
coordination and focus for laboratory accreditation programs in the U.S.

 

· NACLA is a stakeholder organization

 

· Industry

 

· Government

 

· Laboratories

 

· Accreditation Bodies

 

· NACLA’s Board of Directors/Operations Council is composed of balanced representation from the four key stakeholder groups.

 

· NACLA’s primary mission is to evaluate U.S. laboratory accreditation bodies (ABs) and to grant
recognition to those ABs found to be in compliance with NACLA procedures and the relevant
international standards for competent ABs.

 

· NACLA does not itself accredit laboratories.

 

· NACLA provides educational and training opportunities to persons interested in laboratory
accreditation.

 

Membership

 

· Membership in NACLA is open to organizations in the four stakeholder groups - industry, government, laboratories and accreditation bodies - and to any other organization that wishes to participate.
