Proficiency Test Providers
L-A-B and ISO/IEC 17025 require that accredited laboratories participate in Proficiency Testing activities supporting their scope of accreditation. Proficiency Testing providers, and specifically ISO/IEC 17043 Accredited PT providers, that operate a quality system in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043 are required to be utilized per L-A-B Policy 002 to support their scope activities. L-A-B has collected a listing of PT providers that have been known to operate PT programs in accordance with ISO/IEC Guide 43 (outdated) or ISO/IEC 17043.
It is the responsibility of the accredited laboratory to determine if the particular PT program they are interested in is operated in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043. It is also the responsibility of the lab to assure the PT program they are subscribing conforms to the requirements of ISO/IEC 17043.
